Ingredients
- 🍅 Tomatoes – roughly chopped
- 🧅 Onion – finely chopped
- 🧄 Garlic – minced
- 🌿 Curry leaves – few sprigs
- 🌶️ Green chilies – slit
- 💧 Tamarind pulp – extract from tamarind
- 🥄 Rasam powder – store bought or homemade
Instructions
- 🔥 Heat oil in a pot and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
- 🧅 Add onions, garlic, and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.
- 🍅 Add tomatoes and cook until they soften.
- 💧 Pour in tamarind pulp, add rasam powder, salt, and water. Bring to a simmer.
- 🌿 Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
