Ingredients
- 🫘 Dried lentils – 1 cup
- 🧅 Onions – 2, chopped
- 🍅 Tomatoes – 2, chopped
- 🌶️ Red chili powder – 2 tsp
- 🌿 Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- 🧄 Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- 🥛 Yogurt – 1/2 cup
- 🫘 Chickpea flour (besan) – 2 tbsp
- 💧 Cooking oil – 2 tbsp
- 🧂 Salt to taste
Instructions
- 💧 Soak lentils for at least 30 minutes.
- 🔥 Heat oil in a pot, add onions and sauté until golden brown.
- 🧄 Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute, then add tomatoes and spices. Cook until oil separates.
- 🥣 Mix chickpea flour with yogurt, add to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.
- 🥘 Add soaked lentils, water, and salt. Simmer until lentils are cooked. Serve hot.
