Ingredients

  • 🫘 Dried lentils – 1 cup
  • 🧅 Onions – 2, chopped
  • 🍅 Tomatoes – 2, chopped
  • 🌶️ Red chili powder – 2 tsp
  • 🌿 Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • 🧄 Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • 🥛 Yogurt – 1/2 cup
  • 🫘 Chickpea flour (besan) – 2 tbsp
  • 💧 Cooking oil – 2 tbsp
  • 🧂 Salt to taste

Instructions

  • 💧 Soak lentils for at least 30 minutes.
  • 🔥 Heat oil in a pot, add onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • 🧄 Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute, then add tomatoes and spices. Cook until oil separates.
  • 🥣 Mix chickpea flour with yogurt, add to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.
  • 🥘 Add soaked lentils, water, and salt. Simmer until lentils are cooked. Serve hot.
