Ingredients

  • 🍔 Ground beef – 1/2 pound
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, sliced
  • 🧀 Cheese – 4 slices (Swiss or cheddar)
  • 🍞 Rye bread – 4 slices
  • 🧈 Butter – 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  • 🍔 Form ground beef into patties and season with salt and pepper.
  • 🧅 Caramelize onions in a pan with butter until golden brown.
  • 🔥 Cook patties in a skillet until browned and cooked through.
  • 🍞 Butter the outside of the rye bread slices. Place cheese and patty between bread slices.
  • 🧀 Grill the sandwich until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
