Ingredients
- 🧅 Onions – finely chopped
- 🫘 Toor dal – 1 cup
- 🍅 Tomatoes – chopped
- 🌶️ Sambar powder – 2 tbsp
- 🌿 Curry leaves – 1 sprig
- 🌱 Tamarind pulp – 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 🥣 Cook toor dal until soft.
- 🧅 Sauté onions until golden brown.
- 🍅 Add tomatoes, sambar powder, and cook well.
- 🥘 Combine dal and onion-tomato mixture, add tamarind pulp, and simmer.
- 🌿 Garnish with curry leaves and serve hot with rice or idli.
