Ingredients
- 🥩 Beef or Mutton – 1 kg, bone-in
- 🧅 Onions – 2 large, thinly sliced
- 🧄 Ginger-Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
- 🌶️ Nihari Masala – 4 tbsp (store-bought or homemade)
- 🌾 Wheat Flour (Atta) – 2 tbsp, for thickening
- 🍋 Lemon wedges – for serving
- 🌿 Cilantro – for garnish
Instructions
- 🔥 Heat oil in a large pot, add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
- 🧄 Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute, then add the meat and Nihari masala. Cook for 10 minutes.
- 💧 Add 6-8 cups of water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 hours, or until the meat is very tender.
- 🌾 In a separate bowl, mix wheat flour with a little water to make a slurry. Gradually add it to the Nihari, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Simmer for another 30 minutes.
- 🍋 Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan bread and lemon wedges.
