Ingredients
- 🌱 Yellow Split Peas (Dal) – 1 cup
- 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
- 🍅 Tomato – 1 medium, chopped
- 🫚 Ginger – 1 tsp, grated
- 🌶️ Green chilies – 1-2, chopped
- 🌿 Cilantro – for garnish
- 💧 Water – as needed
- 🧈 Ghee or oil – 2 tbsp
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- ✨ Spices (Turmeric, Cumin, Coriander powder) – 1 tsp each
Instructions
- 🌱 Rinse the dal and soak for 15 minutes.
- 🧅 Sauté onions and chilies in ghee until golden.
- 🍅 Add tomatoes, ginger, and spices, cook until softened.
- 🥘 Add soaked dal and water. Bring to a boil, then simmer until tender.
- 🌿 Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice or roti. ✨
