Ingredients
- 🍚 Urad dal (split black lentils) – 1 cup
- 🧅 Onion – 1/4 cup, finely chopped
- 🌶️ Green chilies – 1-2, finely chopped
- 🌿 Curry leaves – 1 sprig, chopped
- 🌱 Cilantro – 2 tbsp, chopped
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 🫘 Oil – for deep frying
Instructions
- 💧 Soak urad dal for 4-5 hours, then grind to a smooth batter.
- 🧅 Add onions, green chilies, curry leaves, cilantro, and salt to the batter and mix well.
- 🔥 Heat oil in a deep pan.
- 🍩 Wet your hands, take a small portion of batter, shape into a donut, and gently slide into the hot oil.
- 🍳 Fry on medium heat until golden brown and crispy. Serve hot with chutney and sambar.
