Ingredients

  • 🐖 Pork belly – cubed
  • 🍚 Rice – cooked
  • 🥚 Hard-boiled eggs – peeled
  • 🧅 Shallots – minced
  • 🌿 Soy sauce – dark and light
  • 🍬 Sugar – brown
  • ✨ Five-spice powder

Instructions

  • 🔥 Sauté shallots until golden brown.
  • 🐖 Add pork belly and brown on all sides.
  • 🌿 Add soy sauce, sugar, five-spice powder, and water. Bring to a simmer.
  • 🥚 Add hard-boiled eggs. Cover and simmer for at least 1 hour, or until pork is tender.
  • 🍚 Serve over rice with a generous spoonful of the braising liquid and half an egg.
