Ingredients
- 🐖 Pork belly – cubed
- 🍚 Rice – cooked
- 🥚 Hard-boiled eggs – peeled
- 🧅 Shallots – minced
- 🌿 Soy sauce – dark and light
- 🍬 Sugar – brown
- ✨ Five-spice powder
Instructions
- 🔥 Sauté shallots until golden brown.
- 🐖 Add pork belly and brown on all sides.
- 🌿 Add soy sauce, sugar, five-spice powder, and water. Bring to a simmer.
- 🥚 Add hard-boiled eggs. Cover and simmer for at least 1 hour, or until pork is tender.
- 🍚 Serve over rice with a generous spoonful of the braising liquid and half an egg.
