Ingredients
- 🥛 Plain Greek yogurt – 32 oz
- 🧂 Sea salt – 1/2 tsp
- 🫒 Extra virgin olive oil – for drizzling
- 🌿 Fresh herbs or za'atar – for garnish
Instructions
- 🥣 Whisk the yogurt and salt together in a medium bowl until smooth.
- 🧀 Line a colander with cheesecloth and place it over a deep bowl, then pour the yogurt mixture inside.
- ⏳ Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours to allow the whey to strain out until it reaches a spreadable, cream-cheese consistency.
- 🍽️ Transfer the thickened labneh to a plate or bowl, smoothing the top with the back of a spoon.
- ✨ Drizzle generously with olive oil and sprinkle with your favorite herbs or za'atar before serving.
