Ingredients

  • 🍚 Semolina (Rava) – 1 cup
  • 🧅 Onion – finely chopped
  • 🥕 Mixed vegetables – 1 cup (carrots, peas, beans)
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – 2, chopped
  • 🫘 Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  • 💧 Water – 2 cups
  • 🌿 Curry leaves – 1 sprig
  • 🥜 Cashews – a few

Instructions

  • 🔥 Roast semolina until light brown and set aside.
  • 🔥 Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, and let them splutter. Add cashews and curry leaves.
  • 🧅 Add onions and green chilies, sauté until onions are translucent.
  • 🥕 Add mixed vegetables and sauté for a few minutes.
  • 💧 Add water, salt, and bring to a boil. Slowly add the roasted semolina, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  • 🥘 Cook until the water is absorbed and the Khara Bath is cooked through. Serve hot.
