Ingredients
- ⚫ Black chickpeas (kadala) – soaked overnight
- 🧅 Onion – finely chopped
- 🍅 Tomatoes – diced
- 🧄 Garlic – minced
- 🌶️ Green chilies – slit
- 🥥 Coconut milk – for creaminess
- 🌿 Curry leaves – for tempering
- 🥄 Curry powder – for flavor
Instructions
- ♨️ Pressure cook the soaked chickpeas until tender.
- 🔥 Heat oil, add curry leaves, and sauté onions, garlic, and green chilies.
- 🍅 Add tomatoes and cook until soft. Stir in curry powder.
- 🥘 Add cooked chickpeas and coconut milk. Simmer until the gravy thickens.
- 🍚 Serve hot with rice or roti.
