Ingredients
- 🍚 Idli Rice – 2 cups
- ⚪ Urad Dal (split black lentils) – 1/2 cup
- 💧 Water – as needed
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 💧 Oil – for greasing
Instructions
- 🥣 Soak rice and dal separately for 4-5 hours.
- ⚙️ Grind into a smooth batter, mix together with salt, and ferment overnight.
- ♨️ Grease idli molds and pour batter into them.
- ♨️ Steam for 10-12 minutes until cooked.
- 🍽️ Serve hot with sambar and chutney.
