Ingredients

  • 🍚 Rice flour – 2 cups
  • 💧 Water – as needed
  • 🥥 Grated coconut – for garnish
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 🛢️ Oil – for greasing

Instructions

  • 🔥 Boil water and add salt. Gradually add rice flour, mixing continuously to form a dough.
  • 🖐️ Knead the dough well until smooth and pliable.
  • ⚙️ Use an idiyappam press to squeeze the dough into thin noodles onto greased idli plates or banana leaves.
  • ♨️ Steam the idiyappam for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
  • 🥥 Garnish with grated coconut and serve hot with curry or stew.
