Ingredients
- 🍚 Rice flour – 2 cups
- 💧 Water – as needed
- 🥥 Grated coconut – for garnish
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 🛢️ Oil – for greasing
Instructions
- 🔥 Boil water and add salt. Gradually add rice flour, mixing continuously to form a dough.
- 🖐️ Knead the dough well until smooth and pliable.
- ⚙️ Use an idiyappam press to squeeze the dough into thin noodles onto greased idli plates or banana leaves.
- ♨️ Steam the idiyappam for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
- 🥥 Garnish with grated coconut and serve hot with curry or stew.
