Hojicha Soft Serve

Ingredients

  • 🥛 Milk – 1 cup
  • 🍦 Heavy cream – 1 cup
  • 🍚 Sugar – 1/2 cup
  • 🍵 Hojicha powder – 2 tbsp
  • 🥚 Egg yolks - 2 large (optional)

Instructions

  • 🔥 Heat milk, cream, and sugar in a saucepan.
  • 🍵 Whisk in hojicha powder until dissolved.
  • 🥚 If using egg yolks, temper them with some of the warm mixture, then add back to the saucepan. Cook until thickened.
  • ❄️ Chill the mixture thoroughly in the refrigerator.
  • 🍦 Churn in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions until soft serve consistency is reached.
