Ingredients
- 🥛 Milk – 1 cup
- 🍦 Heavy cream – 1 cup
- 🍚 Sugar – 1/2 cup
- 🍵 Hojicha powder – 2 tbsp
- 🥚 Egg yolks - 2 large (optional)
Instructions
- 🔥 Heat milk, cream, and sugar in a saucepan.
- 🍵 Whisk in hojicha powder until dissolved.
- 🥚 If using egg yolks, temper them with some of the warm mixture, then add back to the saucepan. Cook until thickened.
- ❄️ Chill the mixture thoroughly in the refrigerator.
- 🍦 Churn in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions until soft serve consistency is reached.
