Ingredients
- 🥛 Milk – 2 cups
- ☕ Hojicha Tea Leaves – 2 tbsp
- 🥚 Egg Yolks – 4 large
- 🍬 Sugar – ¾ cup
- 🍦 Heavy Cream – 1 cup
Instructions
- ☕ Steep hojicha in warm milk, then strain. Discard tea leaves.
- 🥚 Whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale and thick.
- 🔥 Slowly whisk in the warm hojicha milk, then heat gently until it coats the back of a spoon.
- 🧊 Stir in heavy cream and chill thoroughly in the fridge.
- 🌀 Churn in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Freeze to harden.
