Ingredients

  • 🌾 All-purpose flour – 2 cups
  • 🫘 Moong dal (soaked) – 1 cup
  • 🌿 Hing (asafoetida) – 1/2 tsp
  • 🌶️ Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • 🥭 Amchur (dry mango powder) – 1/2 tsp
  • 🛢️ Oil – for frying
  • 💧 Water – as needed
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste

Instructions

  • 🥣 Prepare the dough with flour, water, and a pinch of salt. Rest for 15 minutes.
  • 🔥 Grind soaked moong dal into a coarse paste. Add hing, red chili powder, amchur, and salt.
  • ⚪ Make small dough balls, stuff with moong dal mixture, and flatten into small discs.
  • ♨ Deep fry the kachoris on medium heat until golden brown and crispy.
  • 🌿 Serve hot with chutney or aloo sabzi.
