Ingredients
- 🌾 All-purpose flour – 2 cups
- 🫘 Moong dal (soaked) – 1 cup
- 🌿 Hing (asafoetida) – 1/2 tsp
- 🌶️ Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- 🥭 Amchur (dry mango powder) – 1/2 tsp
- 🛢️ Oil – for frying
- 💧 Water – as needed
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
Instructions
- 🥣 Prepare the dough with flour, water, and a pinch of salt. Rest for 15 minutes.
- 🔥 Grind soaked moong dal into a coarse paste. Add hing, red chili powder, amchur, and salt.
- ⚪ Make small dough balls, stuff with moong dal mixture, and flatten into small discs.
- ♨ Deep fry the kachoris on medium heat until golden brown and crispy.
- 🌿 Serve hot with chutney or aloo sabzi.
