Ingredients

  • 🌾 All-purpose flour – for the dough
  • 🫘 Urad dal – soaked and ground
  • 🌿 Heeng (asafoetida) – a pinch
  • 🌶️ Red chili powder – to taste
  • 🥭 Amchur (dried mango powder) – to taste
  • 🛢️ Oil – for deep frying

Instructions

  • 🥣 Prepare a dough with flour, water, and a little oil. Let it rest.
  • 🔥 Make the filling by mixing ground dal, heeng, spices, and amchur.
  • 🥟 Stuff the dough with the filling and shape into kachoris.
  • 🛢️ Deep fry the kachoris on medium heat until golden brown and crispy.
  • 🍽️ Serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
