Ingredients
- 🌰 Hazelnuts – 1 cup, toasted and finely ground
- 🍰 All-purpose flour – 2 cups, sifted
- 🥚 Eggs – 4 large, at room temperature
- 🧈 Unsalted butter – 1 cup, softened
- 🍬 Sugar – 1.5 cups, granulated
- 🍫 Chocolate – 200g, for frosting or ganache
- 🥛 Heavy cream – 1 cup, for filling
Instructions
- 🥣 Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then mix in eggs and ground hazelnuts.
- 🔥 Fold in the flour, pour into pans, and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes.
- 🧊 Allow the cake layers to cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.
- 🍰 Layer the cakes with chocolate frosting or hazelnut cream in between.
- ✨ Decorate with whole hazelnuts and extra chocolate shavings before serving.
