Ingredients

  • 🍚 Glutinous rice flour – 1 cup
  • 💧 Water – ¾ cup
  • 🍬 Sugar – ½ cup
  • 🥔 Potato starch – for dusting
  • 🫘 Sweetened red bean paste (anko) – for filling

Instructions

  • 🥣 Combine rice flour, water, and sugar in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • ♨️ Cover and microwave for 1 minute, stir, and microwave for another minute until translucent.
  • ✨ Dust a surface with potato starch and transfer the mochi dough onto it.
  • 🔪 Divide the dough into equal portions and flatten each piece.
  • 🫘 Fill with red bean paste, shape into balls, and serve.
