Ginseng Chicken Soup

Ingredients

  • 🐔 Chicken – whole or pieces
  • 🌱 Ginseng – fresh or dried
  • 🍚 Rice – glutinous rice (optional)
  • 🧅 Onion – sliced
  • 🧄 Garlic – minced
  • 🌿 Ginger – sliced
  • 💧 Water – or chicken broth
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • ⚪ White pepper – to taste

Instructions

  • 💧 Boil chicken in water/broth to remove impurities. Then drain.
  • 🍲 Combine chicken, ginseng, rice (optional), onion, garlic, and ginger in a pot.
  • 💧 Add water to cover ingredients. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45 mins.
  • 🧂 Season with salt and white pepper to taste.
