Ingredients

  • 2 Horse Mackerel 🐟 (Aji)
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour 🌾
  • 1/4 tsp Salt 🧂
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper 🌶️
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable oil 🌻
  • Lemon wedges 🍋 (for serving)
  • Grated daikon radish 🍥 (optional)

Instructions

  • Rinse the horse mackerel and pat them dry with paper towels. 💦
  • In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, and pepper. 🥣
  • Dredge each mackerel in the flour mixture, ensuring it's evenly coated. ✨
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. 🔥
  • Carefully place the coated mackerel in the hot oil. Fry for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. ⏱️
  • Remove the fried mackerel from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. ♨️
  • Serve immediately with lemon wedges and grated daikon radish (if using). 🍽️
