Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs
  • Onions
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Tomatoes
  • Coconut milk
  • Mustard oil
  • Turmeric powder
  • Red chili powder
  • Cumin powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Garam masala
  • Bay leaves
  • French baguette
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Sugar

Instructions

  • Marinate the chicken with turmeric, salt, and a little mustard oil. Let it rest for 15 minutes. ⏰
  • Heat mustard oil in a pan. Add bay leaves and sauté for a few seconds. 🔥
  • Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. 🧅
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute. 🧄
  • Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and oil separates. 🍅
  • Add the marinated chicken and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. 🍗
  • Pour in coconut milk and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. 🥥
  • Stir in garam masala and sugar. Simmer for another 5 minutes. 🍬
  • Slice the French baguette and spread butter on it. 🥖🧈
  • Serve the chicken curry hot with buttered French bread. Enjoy! 🎉
