Ingredients

  • ðŸĨ› Milk – 2 cups
  • 🍚 Sugar – 3/4 cup
  • ðŸĨš Egg Yolks – 4 large
  • ðŸŠī Heavy Cream – 1 cup
  • 🍑 Fresh Figs – 1 lb, stems removed
  • 🍋 Lemon Juice – 1 tsp

Instructions

  • ðŸ”Ĩ Heat milk and sugar in a saucepan until sugar dissolves.
  • ðŸĨš Whisk egg yolks in a bowl. Temper the yolks by slowly adding some of the hot milk mixture, then pour back into the saucepan.
  • ðŸĨ„ Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
  • 🧊 Stir in heavy cream, chopped figs, and lemon juice. Let cool, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
  • ðŸĨķ Churn in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions. Freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
