Ingredients
- 🥛 Milk – 2 cups
- 🍚 Sugar – 3/4 cup
- 🥚 Egg Yolks – 4 large
- 🪴 Heavy Cream – 1 cup
- 🍑 Fresh Figs – 1 lb, stems removed
- 🍋 Lemon Juice – 1 tsp
Instructions
- 🔥 Heat milk and sugar in a saucepan until sugar dissolves.
- 🥚 Whisk egg yolks in a bowl. Temper the yolks by slowly adding some of the hot milk mixture, then pour back into the saucepan.
- 🥄 Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- 🧊 Stir in heavy cream, chopped figs, and lemon juice. Let cool, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
- 🥶 Churn in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions. Freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
