Ingredients
- ðĨ Milk â 2 cups
- ð Sugar â 3/4 cup
- ðĨ Egg Yolks â 4 large
- ðŠī Heavy Cream â 1 cup
- ð Fresh Figs â 1 lb, stems removed
- ð Lemon Juice â 1 tsp
Instructions
- ðĨ Heat milk and sugar in a saucepan until sugar dissolves.
- ðĨ Whisk egg yolks in a bowl. Temper the yolks by slowly adding some of the hot milk mixture, then pour back into the saucepan.
- ðĨ Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- ð§ Stir in heavy cream, chopped figs, and lemon juice. Let cool, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
- ðĨķ Churn in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions. Freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
