Ingredients
- 🍝 Fettuccine pasta – 1 lb
- 🥩 Ground meat – 1 lb (beef or pork)
- 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
- 🥕 Carrots – 1 medium, chopped
- 🌿 Celery – 1 stalk, chopped
- 🍅 Canned tomatoes – 28 oz
- 🍷 Red wine – 1/2 cup (optional)
- 🧄 Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
- 🌿 Fresh basil – for garnish
- 🧀 Parmesan cheese – for serving
Instructions
- 🔥 Brown the ground meat in a large pot or Dutch oven.
- 🧅 Add onion, carrots, and celery and cook until softened.
- 🧄 Stir in garlic, then add tomatoes and red wine (if using).
- 🌿 Simmer for at least 1.5 hours, or until the sauce has thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
- 🍝 Cook fettuccine according to package directions. Serve ragu over pasta, garnished with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese.
