Ingredients

  • 🥓 Pork belly – 1 lb, skin on
  • 🌿 Scallions – 2, chopped
  • 🫚 Ginger – 1 inch, sliced
  • 🍶 Soy sauce – 1/4 cup
  • 🍬 Sugar – 2 tbsp
  • 🌶️ Chili flakes – to taste

Instructions

  • 🔥 Sear pork belly skin until golden brown and crispy.
  • 🔪 Cut pork belly into 1-inch cubes.
  • 🥘 In a pot, combine pork belly with ginger, scallions, soy sauce, sugar, and chili flakes.
  • 💧 Add water to cover the pork belly.
  • ⏳ Simmer over low heat for 45 minutes or until tender.
  • 🍚 Serve with rice and enjoy!
