Ingredients
- 🍚 Rice – 2 cups
- 🌱 Urad Dal – 1 cup
- 🌶️ Red Chillies – 4-5
- 🧅 Onions – 1 medium, chopped
- 🌿 Curry Leaves – a few
- 🫘 Chana Dal – 1/2 cup
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 💧 Oil – for cooking
Instructions
- 🥣 Soak rice and dals separately for at least 4 hours.
- ⚙️ Grind the soaked ingredients with red chillies to a smooth batter.
- 🧂 Add salt to the batter and let it ferment overnight.
- 🔥 Heat oil on a griddle, pour a ladle of batter, and spread it gently.
- 🧅 Sprinkle chopped onions and curry leaves on top. Cook until golden brown on both sides. Serve hot with chutney.
