Ingredients

  • 🍫 Dark chocolate – 200g, high quality (70% cocoa)
  • 🧈 Unsalted butter – 150g, cubed
  • 🥚 Eggs – 4 large, separated
  • 🍬 Sugar – 150g, granulated
  • 🍫 Cocoa powder – for dusting
  • 🍦 Vanilla extract – 1 tsp

Instructions

  • 🌡️ Preheat your oven to 180°C and grease a 20cm round cake tin.
  • 🥣 Gently melt the chocolate and butter together in a bowl until smooth.
  • 🥚 Whisk egg yolks with sugar and vanilla, then stir in the melted chocolate.
  • 🍰 Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form and gently fold them into the batter.
  • ✨ Bake for 25–30 mins, let it cool completely, and dust with cocoa powder before serving.
