Ingredients

  • 🫘 Chickpeas – 1 cup, soaked overnight
  • 🥩 Beef Shank – 1 lb
  • 🥓 Smoked Bacon – 4 oz
  • 🥬 Cabbage – 1/2 head, chopped
  • 🥔 Potatoes – 2 medium, peeled and quartered
  • 🥕 Carrots – 2 medium, peeled and chopped
  • 🌶️ Chorizo – 1 link
  • 🩸 Black Pudding (Morcilla) – 1 link
  • 💧 Water – enough to cover

Instructions

  • 🥘 In a large pot, combine chickpeas, beef shank, bacon, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 hours.
  • 🥕 Add carrots, potatoes, and cabbage to the pot. Continue to simmer for 30 minutes.
  • 🌶️ Add chorizo and black pudding to the pot. Simmer for another 30 minutes, or until all ingredients are tender.
  • 🥄 Remove the meat and vegetables from the broth. Slice the meat and sausages.
  • 🥣 Serve the broth separately, followed by the meat, sausages, and vegetables.
