Ingredients

  • 🐟 Fish or seafood – 500g, cleaned
  • 🥥 Coconut – 1 cup, grated
  • 🌶️ Red chilies – 6-8, adjust to taste
  • 🌱 Coriander seeds – 2 tbsp
  • 🧄 Garlic – 6 cloves, minced
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 large, chopped
  • 🥭 Raw mango – 1/2 cup, chopped (optional)
  • 🌿 Curry leaves – 1 sprig
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 🛢️ Coconut oil – for cooking

Instructions

  • 🥥 Grind coconut, red chilies, coriander seeds, garlic, and a little water to a smooth paste.
  • 🔥 Heat coconut oil in a pan, add onions and curry leaves, and sauté until golden brown.
  • 🥘 Add the ground masala paste and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  • 🐟 Add fish/seafood, mango (if using), salt and cook until the fish is cooked through and the gravy has thickened.
  • 🍚 Serve hot with rice or roti.
