Chonak Rava Fry

Ingredients

  • 🐟 Chonak (small fish) – 250g
  • 🍚 Rava (semolina) – 1/2 cup
  • 🌶️ Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • 🍋 Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • 🧄 Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • 🌿 Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • 🌱 Curry leaves – a few
  • 🧂 Salt to taste
  • 🥄 Oil for frying

Instructions

  • 🧼 Clean and marinate the fish with ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, turmeric, chili powder, and salt. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • 🥣 Coat each fish piece evenly with rava (semolina).
  • 🔥 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • 🍳 Gently place the rava-coated fish in the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crisp on both sides.
  • 🌿 Garnish with curry leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges.
