Chocolate macadamia croissant

Ingredients

  • 🥐 Puff pastry dough – 1 sheet, chilled
  • 🍫 Dark chocolate – 100g, chopped or chips
  • 🥜 Macadamia nuts – 1/2 cup, crushed
  • 🥚 Egg – 1 large, beaten for wash
  • 🧂 Sea salt – a pinch for topping

Instructions

  • 🔪 Roll out puff pastry and cut into long, even triangles.
  • 🍫 Place chocolate chunks and macadamia bits at the wide end of each triangle.
  • 🥐 Roll the dough tightly from the wide end to the tip and curve into a crescent.
  • 🖌️ Brush each croissant with egg wash and sprinkle with a few extra nuts.
  • 🔥 Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 15-18 minutes until golden and flaky.
