  • 🐔 Chicken cutlets – pounded thin
  • 🍞 Sandwich bread – shokupan preferred
  • 🥚 Eggs – for dredging
  • 🍚 Panko breadcrumbs – for coating
  • 🥬 Cabbage – shredded
  • 🍶 Tonkatsu sauce – for serving

Instructions

  • 🐔 Prepare chicken: pound, dredge in flour, egg, and panko.
  • 🔥 Fry chicken: heat oil and fry until golden and cooked through.
  • 🍞 Toast bread: lightly toast sandwich bread slices.
  • 🥬 Assemble sando: spread tonkatsu sauce on bread, add cabbage, chicken katsu, and top slice.
  • 🔪 Cut & serve: cut in half and serve immediately.
