Ingredients
- 🐷 Pork belly – 2 lbs
- 🧅 Onion – 1, quartered
- 🧄 Garlic – 6 cloves
- 🌿 Ginger – 1 inch, sliced
- 🍶 Soju or rice wine – 1/4 cup
- 🥬 Napa cabbage – for serving
- 🌶️ Gochujang – for serving
- 🍚 Cooked rice – for serving
Instructions
- 💧 In a large pot, add pork belly, onion, garlic, ginger, soju and enough water to cover the pork.
- ♨️ Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 60 minutes, or until the pork is tender.
- 🔪 Remove the pork from the pot and let it cool slightly. Slice thinly.
- 🥬 Serve the sliced pork with napa cabbage leaves, gochujang, and rice.
- 쌈 Enjoy as a wrap (ssam)!
