Ingredients

  • ⚫ Black rice – 1 cup
  • 🐟 Seafood (shrimp, mussels, clams) – 1 lb
  • 🐔 Chicken or chorizo – 1/2 cup, diced
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
  • 🧄 Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
  • 🌶️ Bell pepper – 1/2, chopped
  • 🌿 Saffron threads – a pinch
  • 🥘 Fish or chicken broth – 4 cups
  • 🍋 Lemon wedges – for serving

Instructions

  • 🔥 Sauté onion, garlic, and bell pepper in a paella pan with olive oil.
  • 🐔 Add chicken or chorizo and cook until browned.
  • 🥘 Stir in black rice and saffron, then add fish broth. Bring to a boil.
  • 🐟 Add seafood. Reduce heat and simmer until rice is cooked and seafood is done.
  • 🍋 Garnish with lemon wedges and serve hot.
