Ingredients

  • 🫘 Urad dal (split black lentils) – 1/2 cup

  • 🌿 Asafoetida (hing) – a pinch
  • 🛢️ Oil – for deep frying

Instructions

  • 🫘 Soak urad dal, then grind to a paste with spices.
  • 🌾 Prepare a dough with maida and a little oil.
  • 🥟 Stuff the dough with the dal mixture and shape into kachauris.
  • 🔥 Deep fry the kachauris until golden brown and crispy.
  • ✨ Serve hot with chutney or aloo sabzi.
