Ingredients
- Agar agar powder: 4g 🍚
- Water: 2 cups 💧
- Sugar: 1/4 cup 🍬
- Anko (red bean paste): 1 cup 🫘
- Gyuhi (mochi): 1/2 cup 🍡
- Canned mandarin oranges: 1 can 🍊
- Canned pineapples: 1 can 🍍
- Shiratamako flour: 1/2 cup 🍚
- Kinako (roasted soybean flour): 2 tbsp 🥜
- Kuromitsu (brown sugar syrup): to taste 🍯
Instructions
- Make agar jelly: Dissolve agar agar powder in water. Add sugar and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Pour into a container and let it set. 🧊
- Prepare mochi: Mix shiratamako flour with water until it forms a dough. Roll into small balls and boil until they float. Transfer to ice water. 🥟
- Cut the agar jelly into cubes. 🔪
- Arrange agar jelly, anko, gyuhi, mandarin oranges, and pineapple in a bowl. 🥣
- Top with kinako and drizzle with kuromitsu. Enjoy! 🎉
