Ingredients

  • 🧅 Onions – finely chopped
  • 🍅 Tomatoes – diced
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – slit
  • 🧄 Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • 🌿 Curry leaves – a few sprigs
  • 🌱 Coriander leaves – for garnish
  • 🍋 Lemon – juice of ½ lemon

Instructions

  • 🔥 Heat oil, add onions, green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté until golden.
  • 🧄 Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  • 🍅 Add tomatoes and cook until soft.
  • 🌶️ Add spice powders (turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder) and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • 🥘 Add the main ingredient (vegetable/meat/lentils) with water, salt and simmer until cooked.
  • 🍋 Squeeze lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice or roti. ✨
