Ingredients

  • 🍚 Basmati Rice – 1 cup
  • 🫘 Zeera (Cumin Seeds) – 2 tsp
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 small, chopped
  • 🌿 Coriander Leaves – for garnish
  • 💧 Water – 2 cups
  • 🥄 Oil/Ghee – 1 tbsp
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste

Instructions

  • 🍚 Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.
  • 🔥 Heat oil/ghee in a pot, add zeera and let it splutter.
  • 🧅 Add chopped onion and sauté until lightly golden.
  • 🍚 Add rice, water, and salt; bring to a boil, then simmer until water is absorbed.
  • 🌿 Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
