Ingredients
- 🍚 Basmati Rice – 1 cup
- 🫘 Zeera (Cumin Seeds) – 2 tsp
- 🧅 Onion – 1 small, chopped
- 🌿 Coriander Leaves – for garnish
- 💧 Water – 2 cups
- 🥄 Oil/Ghee – 1 tbsp
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
Instructions
- 🍚 Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.
- 🔥 Heat oil/ghee in a pot, add zeera and let it splutter.
- 🧅 Add chopped onion and sauté until lightly golden.
- 🍚 Add rice, water, and salt; bring to a boil, then simmer until water is absorbed.
- 🌿 Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
