Ingredients
- 🦆 Whole duck – about 5 lbs
- ⭐ Five-spice powder – 2 tbsp
- 🍯 Honey – 2 tbsp
- 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- 🌱 Ginger – 1 inch piece, grated
- 🍶 Soy sauce – 3 tbsp
- 🌿 Coriander – for garnish
Instructions
- 🦆 Prepare the duck by rinsing and patting it dry.
- ⭐ Mix five-spice powder, honey, garlic, ginger, and soy sauce to make a marinade.
- 🔥 Rub the marinade all over the duck, inside and out. Let it marinate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight in the fridge.
- ♨️ Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Place the duck on a roasting rack in a roasting pan. Add about 1 cup of water to the bottom of the pan.
- ⏲️ Roast the duck for about 90 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste with pan juices every 30 minutes.
- 🔪 Let the duck rest for 10 minutes before carving. Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
