Ingredients

  • 🍝 Paccheri pasta – 1 pound
  • 🍅 Tomato sauce – 2 cups
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
  • 🧄 Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
  • 🌿 Fresh basil – for garnish
  • 🧀 Parmesan cheese – grated, for serving
  • 🥩 Ground meat (beef or pork) – 1 pound
  • 🍷 Red wine – 1/2 cup

Instructions

  • 🔥 Brown ground meat in a large pan. Drain excess fat.
  • 🧅 Add chopped onion and garlic to the pan and sauté until softened.
  • 🍷 Deglaze the pan with red wine, scraping up any browned bits.
  • 🍅 Stir in tomato sauce and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 🍝 Cook paccheri pasta according to package directions. Drain and add to the sauce. Toss to coat.
  • 🌿 Garnish with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese before serving. Enjoy!
