Ingredients
- 🍚 Rice – 1 cup
- 🫘 Moong Dal – ½ cup
- 💧 Water – 4 cups
- 🌶️ Green Chilies – 2, slit
- 🫚 Ginger – 1 tsp, grated
- 🖤 Black Peppercorns – 1 tsp
- 🌿 Curry Leaves – 1 sprig
- 🌰 Cashews – 1 tbsp
- 🥄 Ghee – 2 tbsp
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
Instructions
- 🍚 Wash rice and moong dal together.
- 💧 Add rice, dal, water, green chilies, ginger, and peppercorns to a pressure cooker.
- 🔥 Cook for 3-4 whistles until soft.
- 🌰 In a separate pan, heat ghee, add cashews, and curry leaves. Fry until cashews are golden brown.
- 🥘 Pour the ghee mixture over the cooked pongal. Add salt and mix well. Serve hot.
