Veg Galouti Pâté

Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes 🥔
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions 🧅
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped ginger 🫚 and garlic 🧄
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves 🌿
  • 2 tbsp gram flour (besan)
  • 1 tbsp cashew paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder 🌶️
  • 1/4 tsp amchur (dry mango powder)
  • Salt to taste 🧂
  • 2 tbsp ghee/oil for cooking 🛢️
  • Bread slices or crackers for serving 🍞

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine mashed potatoes, onions, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves, gram flour, cashew paste, garam masala, red chili powder, amchur, and salt. Mix well. 🥣
  • Divide the mixture into small, round patties. Flatten slightly. 🍘
  • Heat ghee or oil in a pan over medium heat. 🔥
  • Gently place the patties in the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side. ⏳
  • Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. 📄
  • Allow the patties to cool slightly. ❄️
  • Spread the cooled patties on bread slices or crackers. 🥪
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve immediately. Enjoy! 🎉
