Ingredients
- 🫘 Urad dal – 1 cup, soaked
- 🧅 Onion – 1 small, chopped
- 🌶️ Green chilies – 2, chopped
- 🌿 Curry leaves – 1 sprig, chopped
- 🫚 Ginger – 1 tsp, grated
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 💧 Oil – for frying
Instructions
- 💧 Drain soaked dal and grind to a coarse paste. Add minimal water.
- 🥣 Mix in onions, green chilies, curry leaves, ginger, and salt into the dal paste.
- 🔥 Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.
- 🖐️ Wet your hands, take a small portion of the batter, and shape it into a donut. Make a hole in the center.
- ♨️ Gently slide the vada into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides. Serve hot with chutney.
