Ingredients
- 🐔 Chicken – 1 lb, cut into pieces
- 🧅 Onions – 2 medium, chopped
- 🍅 Tomatoes – 2 medium, chopped
- 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- 🫚 Ginger – 1 inch piece, grated
- 🌶️ Chili peppers – 2, chopped (optional)
- 🌿 Cilantro – for garnish
- 🥘 Garam Masala – 2 tsp
- 🍋 Lemon – 1, juiced
Instructions
- 🔥 Heat oil in a pot and sauté onions until golden brown.
- 🧄 Add garlic, ginger, and chili peppers (if using) and cook for 1 minute.
- 🐔 Add chicken pieces and brown on all sides.
- 🍅 Stir in tomatoes and garam masala and cook until tomatoes soften.
- 🥘 Add water, bring to a simmer, and cook until chicken is cooked through and sauce has thickened. Garnish with cilantro and a squeeze of lemon juice. Serve hot.
