Ingredients
- 🍚 Idli Rice – for soft idlis
- Urad Dal – for fermentation
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 💧 Water – as needed
- 🥥 Coconut – grated (for chutney)
- 🫘 Roasted Gram Dal – for chutney
- 🌶️ Green Chillies – for chutney
- 🌿 Curry Leaves – for chutney tempering
Instructions
- 🍚 Soak rice and dal separately for 4-5 hours.
- ⚙️ Grind into a smooth batter and ferment overnight.
- ♨️ Steam idlis in thatte idli moulds until fluffy.
- 🥥 Prepare chutney by grinding coconut, gram dal, chillies and salt.
- 🔥 Temper chutney with mustard seeds and curry leaves. Serve with hot idlis.
