Ingredients
- 🍚 Idli Rice – 2 cups
- 🌱 Urad Dal – 1/2 cup
- 🥄 Fenugreek Seeds – 1 tsp
- 💧 Water – as needed
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 🥄 Cooking Soda – a pinch
Instructions
- 🥣 Soak rice, dal, and fenugreek separately overnight.
- Mix and grind to a smooth batter. Add salt and let it ferment overnight.
- 🥄 Add a pinch of cooking soda to the batter before steaming.
- ♨️ Pour batter into thatte idli molds and steam for 15-20 minutes.
- 🍽️ Serve hot with chutney and sambar.
