Ingredients

  • 🍚 Idli Rice – 2 cups
  • 🌱 Urad Dal – 1/2 cup
  • 💧 Water – as needed
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 🥄 Oil – for greasing

Instructions

  • 💧 Soak rice and dal separately for 4-5 hours.
  • 🥣 Grind them separately into smooth batters.
  • 🤝 Mix both batters with salt and let it ferment overnight.
  • ♨️ Steam in idli molds for 10-12 minutes or until done.
  • ✨ Serve hot with chutney and sambar.
