Tarama with Za’atar

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Tarama (salted and cured fish roe) 🐟
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil 🫒
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice 🍋
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced 🧄
  • 1/4 cup Warm water 💧
  • Pinch of salt 🧂
  • Pinch of white pepper
  • 2 tbsp Za'atar spice blend 🌱
  • Pita bread or crackers, for serving 🥖

Instructions

  • In a food processor, combine the tarama, olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic. Pulse until smooth. 🥣
  • Gradually add the warm water, a tablespoon at a time, until the mixture reaches a creamy, spreadable consistency. 💧
  • Season with a pinch of salt and white pepper to taste. Remember tarama is already salty! 🧂
  • Transfer the tarama dip to a serving bowl. 🍲
  • Sprinkle generously with za'atar spice blend. 🌱
  • Serve immediately with warm pita bread or crackers. 🥖 Enjoy! 🎉
