Ingredients

  • 🍅 Tomatoes – finely chopped
  • 🧅 Onions – finely chopped
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – chopped (optional)
  • 🌿 Coriander leaves – for garnish
  • 🍋 Lemon juice – to taste
  • 🫘 Chickpea flour (besan) – 2 tbsp
  • 🫙 Spices (cumin, coriander, chili powder)
  • 💧 Water – as needed
  • 🥔 Potatoes – boiled and mashed (optional)

Instructions

  • 🔥 Heat oil in a pan, add onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • 🍅 Add chopped tomatoes and cook until softened.
  • 🌶️ Add spices and chickpea flour, mix well.
  • 💧 Add water gradually to achieve desired consistency.
  • 🥔 (Optional) Add mashed potatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • 🌿 Garnish with coriander leaves and a squeeze of 🍋 lemon juice before serving.
