Ingredients

  • 🥩 Beef chuck – cut into chunks
  • 🍜 Noodles – thick wheat noodles
  • 🥬 Bok choy – quartered
  • 🧅 Onion – sliced
  • 🧄 Garlic – minced
  • 🌶️ Chili bean paste – to taste
  • 🌿 Star anise – 2 pieces
  • 🍵 Soy sauce – for flavoring
  • 💧 Beef broth – as needed

Instructions

  • 🥩 Sear beef chunks until browned, then set aside.
  • 🧅 Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant, then add chili bean paste.
  • 🥘 Add beef, soy sauce, star anise, and beef broth. Simmer for 2 hours or until beef is tender.
  • 🍜 Cook noodles separately. Blanch bok choy.
  • 🥣 Assemble soup: noodles, beef, broth, and bok choy. Serve hot.
