Ingredients
- 🥩 Beef chuck – cut into chunks
- 🍜 Noodles – thick wheat noodles
- 🥬 Bok choy – quartered
- 🧅 Onion – sliced
- 🧄 Garlic – minced
- 🌶️ Chili bean paste – to taste
- 🌿 Star anise – 2 pieces
- 🍵 Soy sauce – for flavoring
- 💧 Beef broth – as needed
Instructions
- 🥩 Sear beef chunks until browned, then set aside.
- 🧅 Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant, then add chili bean paste.
- 🥘 Add beef, soy sauce, star anise, and beef broth. Simmer for 2 hours or until beef is tender.
- 🍜 Cook noodles separately. Blanch bok choy.
- 🥣 Assemble soup: noodles, beef, broth, and bok choy. Serve hot.
